Infutor Property Data Studied by the University of Notre Dame’s Research Center

Historical Property and Real Estate Data to Support Housing Stability Research

Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., May 7, 2019 – Consumer identity management expert Infutor today announced that the University of Notre Dame’s Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) has partnered with Infutor to support research on housing stability.

LEO is a research center within the University of Notre Dame’s Department of Economics that works to reduce domestic poverty and improve lives through evidence-based programs and policies. Infutor’s historical residential and consumer data provides foundational support for LEO’s housing stability research.

“Research on housing instability and policies to address these issues requires a solid understanding of housing migration patterns among groups with very low income and extreme instability, neither of which typically shows up in traditional administrative data sources and is expensive to survey,” said David Phillips, Ph.D., and LEO Research Associate Professor. “With Infutor’s consumer data we can track housing moves to exact addresses and across jurisdictions which helps reveal patterns during natural disasters, the demolition of public housing and for populations at high risk of homelessness.”

“We are proud to support the important research of LEO and other university-supported economics and market research initiatives with robust historical consumer data,” said Gary Walter, CEO of Infutor. “Our consumer identity data fills a critical gap in the data sources available that track address histories.”

Infutor compiles deterministic, authoritative and permissible data from sources such as public and private telephone data, deed and property information, subscription services and numerous other privacy and security-compliant sources. Infutor combines these records into a single identity graph that identifies individuals and links particular records to a single individual. The result is a list of unique individual residential histories. The protection of the identity of individuals and accompanying sensitive data is of paramount importance to Notre Dame researchers. All academic publications report only summary information about the underlying identity graph, not specific personal details.
